Lauren Howard is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in the state of Illinois. Known for her warmth, insight, and deep investment in her clients, Lauren helps individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with compassion and clarity.
Her clinical background includes work in emergency housing, inpatient psychiatry at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, a DBT-focused Intensive Outpatient Program for adolescents and families, and a psychosocial rehabilitation program at the Anixter Center. She also serves as a psychotherapy supervisor for psychiatry residents at Rush University.
Lauren works with pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, and families, and has expertise in treating anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, parent coaching, personality traits, self-esteem and body image issues, and substance use. She draws from a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to her clients’ goals, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Lauren’s approach is grounded in the belief that healing begins with hope, and that growth can emerge from even the most difficult experiences.
